Capturing Fall Magic: The Serna Family Photoshoot

Renee reached out, hoping to capture the beauty of autumn with her family of five. However, with the rapid changes of the season and unpredictable weather, finding the perfect spot was challenging. After scouting multiple locations, I came across a friend's Facebook post showcasing her recent hike on Aspen Trail. I sent a photo of the trail to Renee, and she loved it! The golden hues and enchanting scenery were exactly what Renee and I both envisioned for the Serna family.

We scheduled the session just in time—any later, and the aspens would have lost their vibrant leaves. The golden colors created a warm, inviting backdrop that perfectly complemented the coordinated outfits Renee and I had worked on together. The Sernas looked amazing, and their coordinated colors really enhanced the beautiful autumn setting. On the day of the shoot, Renee brought her own letters spelling “S E R N A,” adding the perfect rustic touch to their family portraits.

As we moved through the trail, I captured a mix of family shots and individual portraits of each of the kiddos. The stunning background almost felt like a perfect school photo backdrop, only better because it was real.The kids were such a joy to photograph. They were full of smiles, laughter, and playful energy—you could instantly see the close bond they share. The entire family was joking and having fun both on and off camera, which brought a natural warmth to every shot. Each individual portrait captured their unique personalities, while the group shots showcased the love and connection they share. 

The golden hues, the rustic letters, and the laughter of this beautiful family made this fall photoshoot one to remember.
